The inaugural season of “The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition” is currently underway. The newest reality show to hit television screens premiered across Asia on AXN last Thursday, March 18, as well as delayed broadcasts on other free-to-air platforms.
It was everything fans expected it to be and more.
The series is being hailed as the “toughest” in the history of The Apprentice, mainly because of the introduction of physical tasks and challenges, which is a first for the franchise. And with ONE Championship at the helm, fans are sure to receive a healthy dose of martial arts action.
In fact, this week’s episode features two of the biggest and most recognizable faces in the martial arts ecosphere — legends Georges St-Pierre and Renzo Gracie. The veteran athletes are set to partake in an exciting physical task that will have the show’s 16 candidates literally on the edge.
How did St-Pierre and Gracie fare in the challenge? You’ll have to wait until you watch Episode 2. For more information and How to Watch, check out the official site at https://www.onefc.com/theapprentice/.

“Chatri is a great leader and entrepreneur, and it is an honor for me to guest star alongside him on the show and learn everything that I can,” St-Pierre shared in a previous interview. “I hope to share my insight and knowledge in business, as well as how it is to be an elite athlete, with the contestants and help them become successful.”
St-Pierre, more popularly known as “GSP,” is widely-considered one of the greatest mixed martial artists of all time, pound-for-pound. Gracie, on the other hand, is one of the most legendary names in all of martial arts, particularly in the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world.
“Chatri is a personal friend, and I’ve seen him build ONE Championship into an immensely successful business today. I have tremendous respect for the way Chatri leads and runs his company, and I am truly honored to be able to join him in discovering The Apprentice on one of the biggest reality TV shows in history,” Gracie also said in the past.
“The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition” invites 16 contestants handpicked from around the world to compete in a high-stakes game of business and physical challenges. The winner will receive a US$250,000 job offer to work directly under Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong for a year as his protege in Singapore.
Other athletes also appearing on the show in future episodes include former ONE Welterweight World Champion Ben Askren, ONE Heavyweight World Champion Brandon Vera, ONE Women’s Atomweight World Champion Angela Lee, ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix Champion Demetrious Johnson, Indian Wrestling Champion Ritu Phogat, Karate World Champion Sage Northcutt, and ONE Women’s Strawweight World Champion Xiong Jing Nan.
“The Apprentice” is one of the biggest non-scripted reality television programs in history, judging the business skills of candidates who are competing for a job offer under a high-profile CEO. It has aired in more than 120 countries. The first season of “The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition” consists of 13 episodes.
