Gerald Anderson is Philippine Youth-KASAMA's new ambassador

16 Dec – Gerald Anderson has recently been appointed the new goodwill ambassador of the Philippine Youth-KASAMA ("Kabatang Sama-samang Maglilingkod", or "Youth Serving Together").

As reported on ABS-CBN, the actor, who is replacing Dingdong Dantes who served last year, was announced as the new ambassador at an event that was attended by the group's president, Gerald Ortiz among others.

Said Anderson, "I'm very honoured, very proud and I'm very excited to have another platform to help other people."

As someone who has served the public before, like the 2009 Typhoon OndoyFlood Disasters, the actor said that he saw how artistes could use their influence to help others and had since promised to always use his position to do so to the best of his ability.

His appointment also received a congratulatory wish from Star Magic on Instagram, which read, "Congratulations Gerald! Gerald Anderson has been appointed as the Philippine Youth Ambassador of Goodwill by the Philippine Youth-KASAMA. The delegation was attended by almost 900 Sangguniang Kabataan all over the Philippines."
