14 Aug – Gerald Anderson wants everybody to make sure what they are reading in the news is authentic before making any conclusions.

This, however, has nothing to do with his previous rumours and controversies, and everything to do with the various news about the pandemic.

As reported on Inquirer, the actor recently stressed the importance of researching news reports before believing them rather than accept everything you read as a truth, adding, "[Especially] if you've just seen them on social media, most of the time, these stories only touch on the surface of the issue."

Anderson said that it is important for everybody to verify the information by searching for it on reliable news channels or websites.

"There, you will see that there's always a deeper story to that news bit that you saw on Facebook. You will understand the context of what has been said or done," he said.

He also added that the more you read, the more contradiction you will find and that it will be up to you to find the middle ground.
