Gillian Chung's weight gain led to pregnancy rumours
27 Jun – Fans are convinced that Hong Kong singer Gillian Chung is pregnant with her first baby.
As reported on On CC, the idea of the Twin member being secretly pregnant sparked recently, when mainland netizens shared pictures of her at an event, looking much fuller and heavier than before. Gillian was also wearing an empire-cut white dress, which many believed she had chosen to hide her baby bump.
Netizens who were at the event noted that the singer had to be helped getting on and off the stage and switched to a pair of flat shoes as soon as the event ended.
Gillian's manager Mani Fok had since denied the rumours, saying that it was nothing more than a normal weight gain.
"I will tell her to lose weight. She and her husband do have plans to have a baby this year, but she is not pregnant right now," she said.
In a previous interview, Gillian did admit that she gained a lot of weight since marrying Taiwanese doctor Michael Lai, saying that she has been trying her best to slim down.
