KUALA LUMPUR: The Global Movement of Moderates Foundation (GMMF) has expressed strong condemnation of the terrorist attack at Westminster, in London, yesterday, which has so far resulted in five deaths and 40 injuries.

“Amidst the confusing swirl of violence – the fuller details of what exactly transpired are still emerging – our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and those deeply affected,” said GMMF Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Datuk Dr Nasharudin Mat Isa in a statement today.

He added that with a full counter-terrorism investigation already underway – led by the Metropolitan Police Service’s Counter Terrorism Command – GMMF reiterates its stance on the importance of preventing violent extremism through the various necessary channels and the need to intellectually defeat such terrorist ideologies.

“GMMF stands in solidarity with the people and Government of the United Kingdom,” Nasharudin added.
