Tattoo, the broadband business of Globe Telecom Inc., on Thursday said revenues rose 25 percent while subscribers increased by 15 percent in the first half year-on-year.
Service revenues reached P5.145 billion in January to June, up from P4.106 billion in the same comparable period.
Quarterly, revenues grew 7 percent P2.7 billion in April to June.
Subscribers reached over 1.8 million as of end-June
from 1.6 million in the same comparable period.
As of 2013’s second quarter, Globe has been servicing 2.3 million wireless postpaid subscribers, with over 368,000 wireless broadband customers.
In disclosures to the Philippine Stock Exchange, the telco noted the upsurge in revenues was fueled by a “healthy demand for both wireless and wired broadband offerings.”
Head of Consumer Broadband Business Gilbert Simpao said “Tattoo offered game-changing products and services.”
To sustain growth in the second half, Tattoo intends to provide more product innovations, best-value offers and exclusive perks for loyal subscribers, Simpao added. — VS, GMA News
