KUALA LUMPUR : A total of 71 underprivileged children from Rumah Aman were treated to a buka puasa feast organised by Glomac Bhd today.
Held at the Glo Damansara Mall, the event saw more than 100 Glomac staff and guests, dressed in traditional attire, in attendance.
At the event, the kids, aged between four and 15, were given 'duit raya' as well as baju melayu and baju kurung as gifts.
Present at the event were Berita Harian (BH) Group Editor Datuk Mahfar Ali, BH Deputy Group Editor Datuk Badrulhisham Othman, CIMB Group Senior Managing Director and Head of Group Corporate Development Datuk Shahrul Nazri, and Bernama chairman Datuk Seri Azman Ujang.
Glomac Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Datuk Seri FD Iskandar said, in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan, Glomac is committed towards helping society by spreading the joy of celebration and offering aid to the less fortunate.
"This initiative has been a yearly tradition during the month of Ramadan, where we continue to carry out our corporate social responsibility to help those in need.
"We at Glomac hope that this contribution will help them continue to build their future plans and pursue their dreams," said Iskandar, who is also Media Prima Bhd chairman.
A mock cheque totaling RM10,000 was also presented to Rumah Aman.
