Glossier has sparked rumors that it is set to step into the fashion business, temporarily.
The cult beauty brand has taken to Instagram to tease a mysterious upcoming ‘GlossiWear' launch, slated for release on July 17, as reported by Allure. The post doesn't give much away, apart from the fact that the exclusive drop will be limited-edition, but a photo showcasing a model rocking a Glossier-branded hoodie in the label's signature shade of pink (complete with a white logo) has followers speculating that some beautiful apparel is on the way.
The brand wouldn't be the first beauty giant to test out merchandise -- the makeup mogul Pat McGrath, known for her iconic ‘Pat McGrath Labs' brand, unveiled a streetwear collection of merchandise dubbed ‘Pat McGrath Apparel 001' back in 2017.
The move is the latest in a series of big announcements from Glossier, which hit the headlines earlier this month when Michelle Obama was spotted sporting one of its two new lip glosses at the 2019 Essence Festival. The brand also made waves with the launch of its debut ‘Bubblewrap' eye cream in April, and a whole new color cosmetics line called 'Glossier Play' that it introduced earlier this year.
