While most parts of Kuala Lumpur have gone low-key on Chinese New Year decorations, the Pavilion in Bukit Bintang did not hold back.

A golden bull looking as if it was charging through the large LED screen on the facade of the shopping mall has enthralled people online since yesterday, ever since a video of the 3D visual spectacle to usher in the year of the ox was posted online. The video showed the bull being spray painted gold before crashing through a sign showing Sars-Cov-2 and the tagline: “Together fight against COVID-19.”

“KL Pavilion has this [already]…sooner others will sure follow.” Raymond Ngan, who posted the video,

The video has been circulated on other social media platforms like Twitter, with some even comparing it to the LED display of a giant wave on a building in South Korea by K-pop music label SM Entertainment.

“Pavilion’s looks better than SM’s hskdjsjs @SMTOWNGLOBAL do better hsjddj,” @DEARJAEWIN wrote today.
