Good Governance

30 November 2012

BUTUAN CITY - The exemplary leadership and good governance of the current administration here doesn't only draw numerous national and local recognitions for both the city chief executive and the local government, but is clearly opening the doors for a more improved and globally competitive city, said local business experts.

This is seen with the rise of several multinational-owned establishments that have mushroomed around the city today, business analysts said.

An official from the Butuan Chamber of Commerce who requested anonymity also observed that entries of multi-million-dollar investors have clearly risen under the current administrator here.

Aside from the A Brown and some foreign and domestic investments and other businesses, Robinson's is the recent and biggest establishment to be completed next year. Once in full operation, the company is expected to generate employment opportunities for the locals, especially Butuanons.

On the other hand, it's not only the foreign and national investors who are demonstrating their trust and confidence to the current city government administration, but government and non-government groups as well, businessmen here said. (Mike U. Crismundo)
