Google+ trends: 'Dark Knight Rises' featurette, NoH8

With just over a week left before The Dark Knight Rises appears in cinemas around the globe, the online buzz is building.

Google+ users are posting links to articles about the Batman movie, talking about the preview night and sharing trailers of the film. A recently released 13-minute preview and behind-the-scenes look at the film is particularly popular on the social networking site.

“I can't wait to see this movie!” say Plussers. “I'm going to see it on opening weekend.”

People on G+ are spreading the “no hate” message with the hashtag #NoH8. The campaign was first launched in 2009 as a protest against California’s Proposition 8 (a bill that proposed same-sex couples should not have the right to marry).

The NoH8 Campaign most recently shared a photo of American house DJ Steve Hiroyuki with the NoH8 slogan painted on his cheek on its Google+ page.

A post from a Google+ account claiming to be One Direction member Harry Styles has 1D fans spreading the NoH8 message too. “NOH8. We rise above hate. We go with love. And we do it like a REAL 1D Family! Who's with me?!?” said a G+ user going by the name “Harry Styles.”
