Google+ trends: Tiger Woods's PGA win, LinkedIn & Twitter 'break up'

Golfing champion Tiger Woods has secured his third PGA Tour victory of the year, beating fellow American Bo Van Pelt during the AT&T National on Sunday.

“With a final-round, 2-under-par 69, Tiger Woods beat Van Pelt by two shots and became the first to win three times on the PGA Tour this season,” posted Google+ users while others said, “How about a +1 for Tiger Woods, who won his 74th PGA Tour title on Sunday!”

On Friday Twitter announced that it was introducing changes to its platform that would result in the social network cutting off its stream of tweets to, among others, professional social networking site LinkedIn.

LinkedIn subsequently took to its blog and declared “Consistent with Twitter’s evolving platform efforts, Tweets will no longer be displayed on LinkedIn starting later today.”

“This doesn't feel like the usual open and collaborative twitter we've all become used to,” said G+’ers. “If your Twitter feed had a home on your LinkedIn, kiss it goodbye.”
