Gor Mahia to face Coastal side in friendly

Mwatate United have landed invitation from Gor Mahia for pre-season build up match.

The invitation comes in the wake of the clubs sterling performance against Kenya Premier League side Bandari during a friendly played on Tuesday at Wundanyi Stadium in which Mwatate United won 2-0.

Mwatate United club chairman James Okoyo Mandela has confirmed having received invitation from the former Kenya Premier League champions. "Our good performance has earned our players reputation. Gor Mahia is a big club in Kenya and we are happy for the invitation.

"It is a fantastic experience for our players to showcase their skills and already our striker Thomas Nyokole has been identified by Bandari."

The friendly will also provide Gor Mahia with the opportunity to gauge their squad ahead of 2017 Kenya Premier League season.
