KUALA LUMPUR: Tun Daim Zainuddin believes the government is aware of the whereabouts of fugitive businessman Low Taek Jho, better known as Jho Low.
“We know his whereabouts. The last time he was in Macau.
“I think the government knows where he is,” said Daim, who is Council of Eminent Persons chairman.
He was speaking at a press conference on the completion of the CEP’s term and its recommendations.
Low is being sought by the government over a probe into 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) related funds.
Meanwhile, commenting on the government’s plans to auction off the super yacht Equanimity linked to Low, Daim said there would be a limited pool of buyers.
“Its maintenance cost is high. Jho Low can afford it because it is not his money,” Daim said. © New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd
