Grazia's Top Jewellery Trends At London Fashion Week

Jewellery was more prominent than ever at LFW this year - the launch of the BFC Rock vault brought a host of the hottest jewellery talent to Somerset House and the catwalk was buzzing with jewels from the tribal nose rings by Ashish to Holly Fulton's signature graphic designs. As ever, we scoured the streets of London to find the best 'Style in Jewellery' and bring you the trends we are loving right now.

COLOUR POP

There’s no escaping vibrant colour this Spring. But if, like us, you're too devoted to your black J Brands to embrace neon pins - and you don't have the year round Olivia Palermo-style St Barts tan that makes a fluorescent tee pop - a neon accessory is the perfect solution. We've gone yellow - because it makes us happy and reminds us of sunshine - but any neon is a hit.  So go on, be brave, pick up some flouro wrist candy, and inject a little colour into your wardrobe…

1.  Amama cuff, Moxham at Kabiri

2.  Watch in Yellow, Ice Watch

3. White gold neon yellow-knot bracelet, Jada at Kabiri

4. Katie enamel brass bracelet. Marc by Marc Jacobs at Net-a-Porter

SKULL PARADE

The skull needs little introduction when its comes to jewellery. Less 'trend' and more 'jewellery-box staple', it seems the fashion world just can't get enough of our boney-headed friend. The good news is that there is plenty to choose from whether it's the playful designs of Tina Lilienthal or these elegant hoops by Momocreatura [see below]. Want to inject a little edge to your wardrobe? Then tap into your darker side with these fabulous designs.

1. Small skull band, The Great Frog

2. Stacking flower rings, Zoe and Morgan

3.Memento skull bangle in rose gold, LeiVanKash for Botticca

4. Baby Skull Hoop Earrings, Momocreatura for Elizabeth Galton

5. Skull pendant with arrow, Tina Lilienthal

CHANDELIER EARRINGS

With the return of the polo neck and high necklines gracing the catwalks over the last few weeks, statement earrings are set to be A/W 12's biggest jewellery trend. For wow-factor take a tip from Antonio Berardi's show and accentuate your jawline with a low-slung pony, paired with earrings by Shaun Leane. However don't be afraid to dress them down during the day. An 'all-rounder', the chandelier earring will look great with a plain t-shirt or jeans for a modern feminine feel.

1. Hex Chadelier Earrings, Missoma

2. Large cocktail earrings, Monica Vinader

3. Bound Chandelier Earrings, Shaun Leane

NECKLACES OVER COLLARS

There's only one thing we like more than a great chunky necklace and thats a great chunky necklace/buttoned-up shirt combo. We were delighted when we spotted this Pamela Love tribal necklace under a delicious bright-green collar. To get the look, mix heavy metal over a delicate silk. Our favourites are this Hematite dome necklace by Mawi for tough luxe, or this chain 'Chloe' necklace for a double-collar effect.

1. 'Chloe' necklace, Elizabeth Galton

2. Hematite dome necklace with spikes, Mawi

ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE (BLING)

Love actually was all around at LFW, and not because it was post-Valentine's Day. The fash-pack were out in full force wearing necklaces, earrings and rings emblazoned with the word 'love'. This Zoe & Morgan Lasso necklace has become a favourite amongst london's fashion-stylist and journalist crowd, and it's not hard to see why - it's the perfect mix of cute and sophisticated!

1. Love hoop earrings, Daisy Knights

2. Set of four Love rings, Maria Francesca Pepe for Kabiri

3 Love Lasso necklace and ring, Zoe & Morgan

2015 Nissan Murano aims for the style-forward crowd

Nissan says its 2015 Murano crossover, only the second major revamp of the car since it debuted in 2003, draws its design cues from the “age of future space flight.” That’s probably taking it a little far, but the new Murano, based off the 2013 Resonance concept vehicle, is an exceptionally lovely machine, all fluid, curved metal on the outside, and flowing, soft-touch materials on the inside. Certain kinds of comfort and charms that were unheard-of outside of premium vehicles five years ago have definitely trickled down, and reached a kind of design apotheosis with this car.

Volkswagen brings new (ish) Jetta to New York along with Golf Sportwagen

With its new President and CEO of America, Michael Horn, on stage in New York after just 100 days on the job, Volkswagen debuted its 2015 Jetta. You'd be forgiven for noticing little differences compared to the outgoing model, and in the words of Horn himself, the changes are indeed subtle. The most notable of those subtleties is the all-new 2.0 liter turbo diesel motor, offering 45 mpg highway and a modest increase of 10 hp. For VW, diesel is where it's at.

With Vantage GT, Aston Martin races below $100,000

Aston Martin is going downmarket, sort of. The 2015 Vantage GT, a sport-styled variant of Aston’s legendary flagship car, draws style and performance tips from their GT4 race cars, which will be running in North America this year. It’s also priced at $99,900, which shows that the market for these kinds of consumer sports cars has boomed in recent years.
