'The Great British Bake Off' return date confirmed by Channel 4
The Great British Bake Off will return on 21 September.
Paul Hollywood, Prue Leith, Noel Fielding and Matt Lucas will be giving a new batch of bakers a grilling as the Channel 4 favourite returns for a 12th series.
Each week the amateur bakers will be given a trio of themed tasks to see who rises to the top, and who ends up a soggy bottom.

This is the second series to be filmed with strict social bubble regulations to restrict the potential spread of coronavirus on set.
It’s the fifth batch of episodes for Leith and Fielding, who joined the show when it was transferred from the BBC to Channel 4 in 2017.
It’s the second for co-host Lucas, who replaced Sandy Toksvig last year, with Hollywood the only original key member of the judging panel remaining.

The 11th series of the show concluded in November 2020, with student Peter Sawkins crowned the winner.
Previous participants and winners of the show have successfully launched media careers as a result.
Notably, Nadiya Hussain, who won series six in 2015, made the Queen’s 90th birthday cake and now fronts her own cooking shows.
Candice Brown, who won in 2016, later went on to appear in Dancing On Ice.
And this year John Whaite, who won in 2012, is making history in the first all-male celebrity pairing on Strictly Come Dancing.
He also has a long-standing cooking segment on Channel 4’s Steph’s Packed Lunch.
The Great British Bake Off starts Tuesday, 21 September at 8pm on Channel 4.
