Groups of five dine-in expected from 12 July: Lawrence Wong
SINGAPORE — Singapore is expected to allow larger groups of five people to dine in from 12 July, Finance Minister Lawrence Wong said on Monday (5 July).
Wong was delivering his Ministerial Statement in Parliament to outline Singapore’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic including additional measures to help businesses and workers.
Dining-in at food and beverage establishments was allowed to resume from 21 June in groups of two under Phase 3 (Heightened Alert).
Wong also recapped the calibrated measures that the government introduced under Phase 2 (Heightened Alert) after a round of outbreaks following the emergence of new clusters in May.
The minister separately replied to several questions from Members of Parliament about the impact of the proposed global tax reform on Singapore.
