SUBANG JAYA, March 4 — Pakatan Harapan and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) are still discussing seat allocations for the 14th general elections but may have settled negotiations in two states, DAP’s Lim Guan Eng said today.

However, he declined to elaborate and said the federal Opposition pact will announce the details at a later date.

“Maybe Sarawak and Penang have reach a settlement but you will then ask about other states.

“But to avoid any misunderstanding, I will just say discussion is still ongoing and any announcement on the matter will be made later and together,” the DAP secretary-general told a news conference at a hotel here.

The DAP is holding a three-day national retreat to prepare for the general elections that must be held by August next year.

Lim said in a press release later that the retreat, which started yesterday, will address three main aspects in the Pakatan Harapan-PPBM cooperation, namely quality leadership, countering the Barisan Nasional’s campaign machinery and studying voter response towards the ruling coalition and its lynchpin party Umno.
