GuocoLand named as top local developer in PropertyGuru awards
Tanjong Pagar Centre, named as Singapore’s Best Green Development at the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards.
GuocoLand has been crowned as the city-state’s best developer at the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Singapore) 2017 held at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre yesterday evening (7 November 2017).
“The company is a leader in urbanisation, with high-profile projects such as Tanjong Pagar Centre (TPC),” said the independent judging panel chaired by renowned architect Minkqee Tan, who is also the Chief Designer at MINKEE Architects.
As a matter of fact, TPC has been named as Singapore’s Best Green Development, while its Wallich Residence component has been lauded as the Best Luxury Condo Development.
In total, 20 current projects by nearly 20 companies and joint ventures were recognised during the prestigious event that was attended by more than 300 guests.
Other big winners included Lian Beng Group, which was not only hailed as the Best Boutique Developer, but has secured special awards for its sustainable projects and corporate social responsibility (CSR).
Another major awardee was Property Enterprises Development’s Stars of Kovan condominium, which took home three top design awards and was called “glamourous” by the judges.
Other members of judging panel included SPARK Architects partner Lim Wenhui, Greg Shand Architects’ owner Robert Greg Shand and Panache Management CEO Alexander Karolik Shlaen.
The committee also comprised PwC Legal International’s Real Estate Legal Leader Natalie Breen, Banyan Tree Group’s Head of Strategic Planning and Investment Clement Ong and Benedict Lim, Managing Director for Real Estate Transaction at Ernst & Young Corporate Finance.
Furthermore, the seventh annual PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards was supported by title sponsor Kohler, and co-sponsored by Regus, Mitsubishi Electric, and POSCO, with BDO supervising the tabulation.
