Gutierrez urges Newcastle's youngsters to take their chance

Newcastle midfielder Jonas Gutierrez has warned the north East club's young players not to waste any opportunity they are presented with next season.

Alan Pardew is expected to welcome back the senior members of his squad from their summer break as the Magpies boss aims to begin preparations for the new Premier League campaign.

Gutierrez, entering his sixth season at St James' Park, is encouraged by the talent coming through the ranks and has challenged the youngsters catch Pardew's eye.

"They have a great future ahead of them but they have to learn, they have to be clever," he told the club's official website.

"There is a good opportunity for them here at Newcastle. I wish that when I was their age I was at a club like this one with these chances.

"Players do not always have this opportunity and they should realise how lucky they are.

"They are young and they have to focus on football. They have to learn and to train hard, showing the manager that they can play.

"If they can do that, they are going to be in the squad and will have more and more opportunities."

    5 Unanswered Questions About Jesus

The following are five questions about Jesus that, for now, at least, remain unanswered. In 2008, astronomer Dave Reneke argued that the Star of Bethlehem (a celestial event long associated with Jesus' birth) may have been Venus and Jupiter coming together to form a bright light in the sky. Other researchers have claimed that a similar conjunction between Saturn and Jupiter occurred in October of 7 B.C. Still others have claimed that Jesus was born in the spring, based on stories about shepherds watching over their flocks in fields on the night of Jesus' birth — something they would have done in the spring, not the winter.
