Did this guy break the record for the longest CVS receipt?

A man who bought three items at CVS is showing off a receipt that spans the length of his entire body, in what’s quickly become a cultural joke on the pharmacy’s overuse of paper.

On Monday, Reddit user Gabriel Torney (Gabriel45) posed for a photo while holding up a CVS receipt for his purchase of cough drops, NyQuil, and Ibuprofen. He posted it with the caption, “Did I break the record for longest CVS receipt? (I’m 6 feet tall, I bought 3 things).”

“I’ve had some long receipts from CVS but never one like this,” Torney tells Yahoo Lifestyle. “The cashier and people in line were really nonchalant about the size, but I did a double take. I couldn’t just throw this giant receipt away without photo evidence. Even our pup was amazed!”

For almost a decade, CVS has been the subject of hilarious internet memes, a parody Twitter account, and Halloween costumes mocking its outrageously-long receipts that boast store coupons as part of the ExtraCare rewards program.

In the past, CVS claimed on its Facebook page that “printing coupons on receipts helps us cut back on the amount of paper needed to print coupons on paper or send direct mail offers.”

But in June 2016, the company compromised with an option for digital receipts, as long as customers sign up for the rewards program. People can also receive paper receipts with coupons if they choose. “We heard loud and clear that while our customers love receiving coupons and special offers, many wanted a paperless option,” Helena Foulkes, president of CVS Pharmacy, told CBS News.

No one has officially claimed to hold the title for possessing the longest CVS receipt, but when your proof of purchase doubles as a hair accessory, it’s safe to say you’re in the running.
