As much as I love makeup, I also appreciate occasions when I don’t have to wear any. My ideal makeup-free situation is chilling at home with a bare face and enjoying some awesome food. Well, Gwyneth did just that but turned it up a couple of notches by inviting a bunch of her best gal pals.
This past week, the 47-year-old actress and Goop founder invited Demi Moore, Kate Hudson, Alexandra Grant, artist and girlfriend of Keanu Reeves, and many more to ditch their cosmetics for an intimate evening full of natural faces. She called the event “Glow to Dinner.”
“About last night... had the immense pleasure of interviewing @grantalexandra, one of THE most brilliant, expansive, talented thinkers I have ever had the pleasure of speaking with. A beautiful gathering in celebration of beauty just the way we come. The one on my left ain’t so bad either. #nomakeup #goopglow,” Paltrow wrote under an Instagram selfie.
“No make up, no filter. An amazing gathering of some of the best women on planet earth,” she captioned a string of makeup-less selfies.
While many of Paltrow’s guest seemed happy to go without concealer, foundation, or eyeshadow, fans quickly took to the comments section, pointing out that fashion designer Rachel Zoe didn’t adhere to rules, wearing mascara and eyeliner.
“I felt totally naked and insecure and then GP took this selfie and here I am fully exposed ..Thank you my friend for encouraging confidence in being our most natural selves at every age,” Zoe said in an Instagram post.
Buy, hey, we get it! She nonetheless managed to rock a “goop glow” beautifully.
Earlier this month, Goop announced it would be launching its beauty line at Sephora in Canada. Goop Beauty has up until now only been available at its retail stores, on goop.com, and at independent prestige beauty shops. This will be the first time ever customers across Canada can shop Goop Beauty in real life outside Toronto.
“Gwyneth Paltrow and her team at Goop have been innovators in the wellness and beauty space since they launched the goop platform,” says Jane Nugent, Senior VP Merchandising at Sephora Canada. “They were among the first to define ‘clean’ in beauty and take a strong stand for transparency and safety of the highest standards. With our Clean at Sephora initiative and the growing demand from our clients for clean products, we are thrilled to partner with goop to bring this incredible brand and products to Canadians.”
As of Feb. 28, Canadians will be able to shop Goop's bestselling beauty collection GOOPGLOW at select retail locations across Canada and on Sephora.ca. Additional Goop product launches will follow later in the year, including Sephora exclusives, the Goop Beauty G.Tox collection, and more.
