Gwyneth Paltrow Talks Style: 'I Wear Stripes Almost Every Day In My Life'

Our teensy girl crush on Gwyneth Paltrow has reached epic proportions after we spied these gorgeous pictures from Swedish fashion brand Lindex's 'Modern Preppy' campaign (take a scroll through the gallery above to see our top picks from the collection).

Looking effortlessly chic, the brand's blog describes the campaign as 'inspired by the sporty, relaxed lifestyle that is characteristic of USA’s East Coast gems, such as Long Island and the Hamptons, yet with a certain Scandinavian touch. The combination results in a fresh, new feeling.'

Not only does Gwynnie look absolutely beaut in the pictures, she's also recorded a behind-the-scenes video to accompany the campaign in which she talks about her own fashion inspirations. Obviously we're not going to pass up the chance to steal some style tips from the style star.

'I think modern preppy is the way I'm inspired to dress,' she says, 'I love stripes. I wear stripes almost every day in my life'. Note to self - sailor up!

But the imitable Ms Paltrow also gives us some hints on what inspires her A-list look. 'When I'm on the red carpet, I like to wear things that are modern and elegant and I always like to push it a little bit'. Damn straight lady - we loved her in her Jackie O inspired Tom Ford creation at the Oscars which totally stood out among a sea of safe sartorial choices.

And despite being coy when it comes to her personal life, she also talks about how being in the spotlight is part of her journey. When asked if she is sexy cool or easy chic, she retorts, 'What am I? I'm both'. Oh Gwyneth, you really are...

Certain kinds of comfort and charms that were unheard-of outside of premium vehicles five years ago have definitely trickled down, and reached a kind of design apotheosis with this car.

Volkswagen brings new (ish) Jetta to New York along with Golf Sportwagen

With its new President and CEO of America, Michael Horn, on stage in New York after just 100 days on the job, Volkswagen debuted its 2015 Jetta. You'd be forgiven for noticing little differences compared to the outgoing model, and in the words of Horn himself, the changes are indeed subtle. The most notable of those subtleties is the all-new 2.0 liter turbo diesel motor, offering 45 mpg highway and a modest increase of 10 hp. For VW, diesel is where it's at.

With Vantage GT, Aston Martin races below $100,000

Aston Martin is going downmarket, sort of. The 2015 Vantage GT, a sport-styled variant of Aston’s legendary flagship car, draws style and performance tips from their GT4 race cars, which will be running in North America this year. It’s also priced at $99,900, which shows that the market for these kinds of consumer sports cars has boomed in recent years.
