H&M Conscious Foundation launches Global Change Award

H&M announces Global Change Award voting results

The first ever Global Change Award for early-stage green innovation in the fashion industry will give away over 1 million dollars in grant money to winners.

The non-profit H&M Conscious Foundation, funded by the Stefan Persson family, owners and founders of H&M, is launching the first Global Change Award. In a press release published on August 25, Karl-Johan Persson, CEO of H&M and board member of the H&M Conscious Foundation, explained:“Ground-breaking, game-changing ideas can come from anywhere, so the challenge is open to anyone."

The five winners of the award will share a 1 million euro grant (around 1,200,000 USD) and will have access to a tailor-made innovation accelerator, a collaboration between Accenture and KTH Royal Institute of Technology.

Members of the jury include the Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Italia Franca Sozzani, supermodel/actress Amber Valletta and President and CEO of the New York Academy of Sciences, Ellis Rubinstein.
