Fusion restaurant Halia at the Singapore Botanic Gardens is now officially Halal-certified. The iconic restaurant nestled within the UNESCO World Heritage Site received its Halal certification from the Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura in June.

In conjunction with the certification, Halia has introduced new dishes to its all-day ala carte menu. These include the main courses Lamb Rack and Braised Spice Islands Marinade Rump Stew, and the Slow-cooked Tender Chicken Breast and Braised Minced Leg Potato Gratin. New starters on the menu include the Lightly Smoked Kingfish, Deepfried Salt and Chilli Squid, and Fresh Boston Bay Mussels.

Halia has added to its dessert items as well, with the Fig Tart, served with yogurt mousseline, speculoos, caramelised figs and turmeric foam; as well as the Yuzu Gateaux that comprises yuzu-infused cake, chocolate yuzu ganache, lait caramel mousse and yuzu foam.

Located at the Ginger Garden, Halia is one of the first restaurants in Singapore to serve modern European cuisine with Asian influences. Since opening in 2001, it has delighted tourists and locals alike with the picturesque views that it affords diners in the heart of the Botanic Gardens.
