The director of Halloween has finally cleared up a big Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) mystery from the 2018 reboot.

Last week, David Gordon Green took over the official Blumhouse Twitter page during a coronavirus pandemic watch-a-long of the Halloween reboot, which saw Curtis return to the franchise after more than a decade away.

The movie revealed Laurie was deeply traumatised by her experiences with Michael Myers all these years earlier, installing extra security in her home and being overly protective of her daughter, Karen (Judy Greer).

And, during the watch-a-long, the film's director finally revealed who Karen's father is: a mystery the film failed to clear up.

"So... Who is Karen Strode’s father?" Asked a fan.

David replied: "Some dude Laurie met at a bar. She doesn't even remember his name."

The tweet follows the return of Laurie and Karen in the forthcoming Halloween Kills.

The movie will also see Sheriff Leigh Brackett (Charles Cyphers) return to the Halloween franchise for the first time since Halloween II in 1981.
