Han Jiang passes away aged 78

12 Dec – It was recently reported that former actor Han Jiang (formerly known as Jiang Yeung Ming), has recently passed away.

As reported on Mingpao, the news was confirmed by his wife, who stated that he passed away on the night of 7 December at the Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital.

Han, who started his acting career at an early age, had been involved in more than 200 projects. He started working in television in 1979, doing dramas like "Eight Immortals" and "Wu Zetian", before switching to TVB in the 1990s.

Due to his appearance and stature, he was often given roles as a rich benevolent man in dramas like "Burning Flame" and "Healing Hands".

Han reduced his filming works later on. His last project was "Three Kingdoms RPG" in 2012.

It is also known that Han was suffering from vasculitis, and had been living in a nursing home in recent years.

He was 78.
