You can catch me adding 10 of these to my cart.
They say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and while I understand why, I really just can’t get on board with the options. If we can have breakfast for dinner, why can’t we have dinner for breakfast? That’s why I love a good brunch menu—you get options like carbonara, which technically has eggs and bacon, or chicken and waffles, which is basically a fried chicken sandwich with more creative bread.
If there’s one brunch item that I will always opt for, it’s a breakfast pizza. Sadly, though, breakfast pizzas aren’t a very popular menu item—but they are a popular item at my favorite grocery store. I’m, of course, talking about Aldi and its fan-favorite Mama Cozzi’s breakfast pizza.
Aldi’s Mama Cozzi’s breakfast pizza is typically available in the frozen section as a limited-time Aldi Find every few months or so. The pizza comes in two flavors: Sausage and Cheese and Bacon, Pepper, and Onion. Both flavors feature a biscuit crust, country-style gravy, mozzarella, and Cheddar, plus the additional toppings.
This week, however, Aldi is switching up its breakfast pizza game with a brand new, fiery take-and-bake option.
Why You Need To Try the Eggs and Chorizo Breakfast Pizza From Aldi
Mama Cozzi's Pizza Kitchen Eggs and Chorizo Breakfast Pizza is a new Aldi Find of the week that became available on October 25. The $7 refrigerated pizza features a wood-fire style crust topped with a cheese sauce, mozzarella, Cheddar, scrambled eggs, Mexican chorizo, tomatoes, and diced jalapeños.
And, as if the pizza could get any better, all you have to do is bake it for 14 minutes and it’s ready to serve. Talk about flavor in a flash. Aldi’s breakfast pizza is the hearty, savory meal that I actually want to eat for breakfast. Plus, pro tip: it’s a crowd-pleaser on holidays, at brunch, and especially the morning after a late night out.
Because this is a take-and-bake pizza, it is fresh, so it has a shorter lifespan than Aldi’s frozen pizzas. However, if you have the freezer space, you can (and should) always stock up on a few pizzas and freeze them yourself in preparation for the holiday season, because there’s no telling when Aldi will bring back another breakfast pizza. Take my word for it: this pizza is a surefire crowd-pleaser. Come Christmas morning, everyone will be begging you to tell them where you bought it, and you can sit back and relax knowing you won in the easy holiday cooking department.
