HDB to launch first two BTO projects in Punggol Point
Known as Punggol Point Woods and Punggol Point Cove, the former will come with 940 flats across six blocks, while the latter will consist of five blocks with a total of 1,172 units.

The Housing Board revealed on Sunday (26 Aug) that it plans to offer for sale 2,112 build-to-order (BTO) flats this month within the first two residential projects in Punggol Point District, reported Channel NewsAsia.

Known as Punggol Point Woods and Punggol Point Cove, the former will come with 940 flats across six blocks, while the latter will consist of five blocks with a total of 1,172 units.

Anticipated to be ready by 2023, the two BTO developments are near the Punggol Point Park and Jetty.

The Housing Board said Punggol Point Cove is situated along the district’s eastern shoreline and its buildings are designed to cascade towards the promenade to maximise the panoramic views of the sea.

On the other hand, Punggol Point Woods is adjacent to the 1.5km Heritage Trail, which runs through a portion of the Old Punggol Road and links the Punggol Point Park and Jetty with the My Waterway@Punggol pedestrian bridge.

“Punggol Point is set to offer a tranquil living environment with a touch of nostalgia for its residents,” HDB highlighted.

Punggol Point District is intended to be a Green Heritage district that pays homage to Punggol’s rich history. It is also one of Punggol’s seven waterfront districts. The other six are Crescent District, Canal District, Matilda District, Northshore District, Waterway East District and Waterway West District.

So far, the Housing Board has released around 31 BTO developments with a total of around 25,700 units in Punggol at the last four mentioned districts.

“The projects have been well received, with close to 100 percent take-up rate for most of the projects,” added HDB.

The plans for Punggol Point District will be showcased at HDB Hub sales atrium starting tomorrow (28 Aug). The public is also invited to share their ideas on what they want to include in the Heritage Trail.
