Heathrow demands more government action to help aviation as quarantine triggers 95% crash in travellers to UK
Heathrow today demanded more action from government to stem the collapse in passenger numbers flying into and out of the UK.
Reporting a 95% drop in passenger numbers so far this summer season.
The company warned the quarantine policy for international arrivals directly caused a 10% slump in traveller numbers following its introduction in early June.
"An exit plan is now more critical than ever, as long-haul flights remain grounded and more jobs continue to be put at risk in an industry crucial to rebuilding the UK economy," it warned.
