JOHOR BARU: Heavy rain and strong winds brought flash floods to several parts of the city today, damaging properties too.
Among the areas inundated after the heavy 3pm downpour were Kampung Maju Jaya, Seelong, Kempas Lama and Kampung Sinaran Baru.
State Health and Environment Committee chairman Datuk Ayub Rahmat said initial checks showed that the flooding had happened due to the clogged drainage system.

The storm however, did damage several buildings.
The roof of a low-cost flat in Taman Johor Jaya was ripped off while trees along Jalan Rosmerah 3/1, 3/4, and 5/1 in Taman Johor Jaya were uprooted.
