Is Hedi Slimane about to leave Saint Laurent?

Hedi Slimane will return to the catwalks in 2018 as Céline's artistic and creative director

Hedi Slimane could be set to part ways with fashion house Saint Laurent, if rumors are to be believed.

The designer, known for his rock n' roll approach to fashion, is struggling to navigate the renewal of his contract with the Kering-owned brand, Women's Wear Daily reports.

Sources predict that Belgian designer Anthony Vaccarello, currently creative director of Versace's Versus line, could be poised to fill Slimane's shoes.

Slimane has been at the helm of Saint Laurent since 2012, following a five-year hiatus from the fashion industry to pursue photography. Prior to that he worked at Dior Homme and YSL Rive Gauche Pour Homme.
