Heidi Klum reveals her latest epic Halloween costume: E.T. in drag
The "America's Got Talent" judge is known for going all out on the spooky holiday.
Heidi Klum's latest Halloween costume is finally unveiled!
Klum was unrecognizable as E.T. from Steven Spielberg's 1982 movie E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, in the scene where he wears a hat, a wig, and a skirt, while playing dress up with a young Drew Barrymore's character of Gertie. Klum's husband, Tom Kaulitz, was E.T. without the clothes. Making things especially unsettling, their eyes could be seen peeping out of the creatures' necks.

The America's Got Talent judge is known for her love of the spooky holiday. She regularly hosts a star-studded bash wearing an elaborate costume. Over the past decade, she's dressed as a peacock, a worm, and Fiona from Shrek.
As she does annually, the supermodel teased fans throughout the day with peeks at her look. In her first, she said that her costume had been "one year in the making."
One showed Kaulitz getting makeup applied to his face. She captioned it, "He is such a good sport."
In the others, Klum flashed roughly textured skin, inspiring thoughts of a dinosaur. Her team also noted that her 2024 costume is her "least comfortable" yet. She even had to remove her long finger nails for it.

Klum wasn't the only celebrity to wear an elaborate E.T. costume this year, as singer and actress Janelle Monáe also dressed as a deeply disturbing replica of the beloved alien when she appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show Wednesday and in a series of photos on her Instagram account.
Although Klum's costume was impressive as usual, she was nervous about pulling it off.
"I always get anxious," Klum told PEOPLE this week of her Halloween looks. "Because there is no real trial. Like, I can't do a real fitting before I am in it. Because I never know if it works until the day [of]. And then you know, and then something happens and I'm like, 'Oh god.'"

Klum cited dressing as an apple in 2006 as one of the times her costume didn't work. Seal, who was her husband at the time, went as Eve.
"Because I was nine months pregnant, and I wanted to make sure nothing can hurt the baby or something," she explained of the choice. "So I was thinking about being this big apple, but then we forgot how am I gonna get to the party?"
Her team made it work.
"Look, I couldn't fit in anything, so I couldn't get through any normal car doors," Klum said. "So last minute they had to get me a convertible to even be able to get into the car to be able to ride there."

Planning for next year's costume will begin immediately, Klum told the Associated Press Wednesday.
"It's always got to be different," Klum said. "Completely different."
