Netflix's "All the Light We Cannot See" is a drama about two young people who cross paths in a besieged French coastal town during World War II.
Based on Anthony Doerr's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of the same name, the series follows Marie-Laure, a French girl running a radio broadcast from her uncle's home in Saint-Malo during the German occupation, and Werner, a German soldier with a penchant for radio technology.
While "All the Light We Cannot See" isn't based on a true story, Doerr's novel is historical fiction rooted in actual events that happened during the war in Saint-Malo.
The series stars Netflix veteran Louis Hofmann ("Dark") as Werner, and newcomer Aria Mia Loberti as Marie-Laure. It's helmed by Shawn Levy ("The Adam Project") and features appearances from other renowned actors.
