Heres Your Chance to Fly to Iceland for $99

Flights to Iceland originating in New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Washington D.C. may cost as little as $99. Read on for booking details.

WOW Air's $99 airfares have returned, and you can score them on flights departing from New York City, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.

California-based trips are available in December, and will cost approximately $280 with a $179 return flight.

From New York City, flights can be found from January 10 until April 10, and from April 24 until May 15, and will cost $229 with a $129 return flight. These discounted fares are part of WOW Air's new ShapChatpromotion, giving eight travelers the chance to win a pair of round-rip tickets to any of the budget airline's destinations (including Stockholm, Amsterdam, Paris, and Dublin).

Travelers based in Washington, D.C., can still take advantage of round-trip fares less than $200 in December.

There are many merits to traveling to Iceland in winter, but if youd prefer long days and more mild weather, the Airfare Spot highlighted a few of those$99 flights departing from Newark Liberty International Airport in April and May. Even as Iceland approaches its high season, they boast the sameaffordable $229 round-trip price tag.

Otherwise, its time to start planning your spontaneous trip to Iceland now. We recommend seeking out the crystal-blue ice caves of the Langjkull and Svinafellsjkull glaciers, where tours are limited to the winter when the ice is more stable.
