Priscilla Presley responds to claim she’s feuding with Riley Keough over Lisa Marie Presley’s will
Priscilla Presley has shut down claims that she is feuding with granddaughter Riley Keough over Lisa Marie Presley's will.
Earlier this year, Lisa Marie – the only child of Priscilla and music legend, Elvis Presley – suddenly passed away at the age of 54, leaving behind three of her own children: 33-year-old Riley Keough and 14-year-old twins Harper and Finley. Her son, Benjamin Keough died in 2020 at the age of 27.
It was later revealed that Priscilla had made a filing to the Los Angeles Superior Court, disputing a 2016 amendment to Lisa Marie's will that removed her and former business manager, Barry Siegel, as co-trustees of the estate, replacing them with Riley and Benjamin.
Priscilla's lawyer's argued that the document misspelled her name and had a signature that appeared "inconsistent with her usual and customary signature". Lawyers also suggested that Priscilla only became aware of the "purported 2016 amendment" after Lisa Marie's death.
The filing led fans to speculate whether there was a family rift brewing between Priscilla and Riley, who recently starred in the hit series, Daisy Jones And The Six. Further fuel was thrown onto the fire after the Presley Estate was forced to deny reports that Keough had changed the locks at Graceland, the family's famous home.
But now, Priscilla has insisted that there's no bad blood between her and her granddaughter. Speaking in Newcastle during her UK tour of an Evening With Priscilla Presley, the 77-year-old was asked if she was on speaking terms with Riley, to which she replied: "We are just fine."
She went on to say that rumours of a rift between the pair are "not true".
Riley herself is yet to respond to the claims.
