Hersing Culinary will be announcing details of its partnership with Singapore’s Michelin-starred Liao Fan Hong Kong Soya Chicken Rice and Noodle at a press conference on Friday (28 Oct), according to a media invite that was sent by them on Tuesday (25 Oct).

A month ago, it was reported that the eatery, owned by veteran hawker Chan Hon Ming, was in talks with a major F&B group to sell his recipe.

The stall, located at Chinatown Food Complex, was awarded the prestigious Michelin one-star rating at the inaugural Michelin Guide Singapore awards in July, together with another popular hawker stall, Hill Street Tai Hwa Pork Noodle, owned by Tang Chay Seng.

Chan’s win had also garnered him an international reputation for being the first Michelin-starred chef selling the cheapest food, starting from $2 for a plate of Soya Sauce Chicken Rice.

Herding Corporation also owns franchising rights to popular Michelin-starred dim sum restaurant, Tim Ho Wan,
