Hollyoaks' Mitchell Deveraux discovers father Felix Westwood is a con man

From Digital Spy

Mitchell Deveraux has had a rude awakening about his long-lost father Felix Westwood in Hollyoaks.

Felix has been trying to forge relationships with his children since returning to the village last week, though Celeste (Andrea Ali) and Toby (Bobby Gordon) are still bent on revenge for giving them up.

Mitchell (Imran Adams) has thus far been open to getting to know his dad, though his feelings were much different following Tuesday's (March 31) first-look episode on E4.

Felix (Richard Blackwood) seemed to be making progress with his son when he turned up for breakfast at Diane's and suggested Mitchell pick him up once he finished working at the hospital.

"No can do. I don't have a car," Mitchell explained, with Felix joking: "What? You don't have a Porsche on a big doctor's salary?"

They agreed to meet at the hospital but Felix was delayed as he arrived later on, when he once again crossed paths with his childhood nemesis Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas). Though Warren blew him off momentarily, Felix still let his son down by being late.

Father and son eventually were able to forge a bond when Felix opened up about his past — yet Felix again caught Mitchell off guard when he surprised him with a bright pink jeep!

Things went from bad to worse when Mitchell discovered that his father had actually stolen the jeep. This discovery made him realise that his mum and grandfather's warnings about Felix were all true!

"You're still the same immature guy who left me when I was born," he realised, adding: "I want nothing to do with you."

Though the two are now on the outs again, Felix is set to resort to desperate measures to win back Mitchell when he blackmails Walter Deveraux (Trevor A Toussaint) into helping Felix with his relationship with his son.

Hollyoaks airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first-look episodes airing on E4 at 7pm. Wednesdays through Fridays on E4 will feature classic episodes called Hollyoaks Favourites to compensate for the soap suspending filming in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
