Hollyoaks star Kirsty-Leigh Porter teases heartbreaking fallout in Peri, Jordan and Leela love triangle
Hollyoaks star Kirsty-Leigh Porter has teased a "heartbreaking" fallout due to the love triangle between Jordan Price, Peri Lomax and mother Leela.
While Jordan and Peri were together, he has now dumped her and has been pursuing a fling with Leela. However, the latter has had no idea that her daughter and Jordan were ever involved.
Naturally, it sounds like things will come to a head, at least according to Leela actress Kirsty-Leigh, who was asked by Digital Spy whether this could tear her and Peri apart.
"Yes, this is the thing," she told us. "When we first found out about the storyline, the first thing we wanted to know was how it comes out. We knew that would be really exciting to film and couldn't wait to read the scripts.
"We wanted to know how we were going to play it and we have all been guessing how it will eventually come out and how we will handle it as characters. It's going to be exciting, but from a mother and daughter point of view for Leela and Peri, it's going to be heartbreaking.
"I don't think Peri will understand at all. Leela will be embarrassed and it's just going to blow up. I can't wait to see what happens. Peri is really into Jordan but I think it will also be heartbreaking for Leela as she's into Jordan too but she will also be heartbroken for breaking her daughter's heart. I'm really looking forward to filming it."

On Leela's own feelings for Jordan, Kirsty-Leigh explained: "It's completely taken her by surprise. She has just been plodding along with her family, her responsibilities and life in general and then this guy has come along and swept her off her feet.
"He is charming, he is saying all the right things and he's making her feel special. He is bringing out the feelings she used to get with the love of her life Cameron. It's brought back that glimmer of excitement from her younger teenage years and she's getting roped up in it. She would be distraught and absolutely mortified if she knew he'd been with Peri too though."

As for whether she thinks Jordan's feelings are genuine, the actress mused: "Jordan can be so manipulative, we've seen that, but you don't see any of that when he's with Leela. He's got his guard down and his feelings seem very genuine.
"I don't think he's ever come across someone like Leela before – he's so used to being able to manipulate girls to get what he wants and they are usually young and more vulnerable. Leela is nothing like that and she's taken him by surprise. He doesn't feel like he needs to put up a facade with her – he's got puppy dog eyes for her."
Hollyoaks airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first-look episodes airing on E4 at 7pm. Wednesdays through Fridays on E4 will feature classic episodes called Hollyoaks Favourites to compensate for the soap suspending filming.
