Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Sylver McQueen is facing serious trouble following his arrest in Hollyoaks.

Monday's first-look episode ended with Sylver (David Tag) being arrested by PC George Kiss (Callum Kerr) for the murder of his serial killer mum Breda.

The whole McQueen family are being targeted by a sinister dollmaker with demands to pay £7,000 for each of the Seven Deadly Sins, or their secrets would be revealed.

In Monday's instalment, Sylver worked out that the dollmaker was targeting him with the sin of wrath, having somehow found out that he'd killed Breda by jamming two knitting needles into her head!

Although she was originally against giving in to the blackmail plot, Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe) was terrified at the thought of her husband going down for an unjustified charge.

In order to pay up, she managed to get the necessary cash from James Nightingale (Gregory Finnegan) as payback for him shooting her last year.

Having wired the money to their blackmailer, the McQueens assumed they were in the clear until PC Kiss confronted them with mobile phone in hand.

"I'm sorry Sylver. I don't have a choice," PC Kiss explained.

The PC then played them video footage of Sylver's comments from earlier, where he'd worked out the sin of wrath was about him.

"It's about mum. I killed her out of anger and someone knows," he had said.

As the McQueens realised that the doll had been recording all of their conversations, PC Kiss moved into action by arresting Sylver for the murder of his mother Breda McQueen.
