Home and Away's Cameron Daddo is well known for his enviable facial hair, but not any more, as the Aussie actor has undergone a dramatic transformation in the beard department.

Yep, Cameron – who plays Summer Bay resident Evan Slater – has shaved off his salt-and-pepper beard. All of it. Don't worry too much, though, because it's all for a good cause.

The actor shared his bold new look on Instagram earlier today (October 30), telling followers that his "freshly shaved face" was in aid of Movember, an annual charity event to grow moustaches in order to raise awareness of men's physical and mental health.

"First glimpse of my freshly shaved face... first time smooth since 2019 MOvember! Thank you Matt and Alex from @tommygunsaus for the care! Get on board, it's the most important MO you will grow," he wrote alongside a dashing mirror selfie.

Inviting fans to get involved with Movember, Cameron added: "Make a team and get growing... whatever you grow, will save a bro!!!"

Fortunately for Cameron, no-one seemed to mourn the loss of his beard, with fans rushing to compliment the move. His Home and Away co-star Georgie Parker (Roo Stewart) joined the chorus too, writing: "Oh handsome Cam , HANDSOME."

Cameron previously spoke about his reasons for supporting the Movember cause on Australia's The Morning Show, saying that he hopes to "get blokes talking" to one another.

"I think the more that we are able to practice communication, the better off our world is," he said. "The more we train and the more we practise in a confidential setting with other guys, the better we are in real-life situations."

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5 (UK) and Mondays to Thursdays at 7pm on Channel 7 (Australia).
