March 13 (Reuters) - Hong Kong's total exports to China for outward
processing rose 6.1 percent to HK$148.19 billion ($19.09 billion) in terms of
value in the fourth quarter of 2016, the Census and Statistics Department said
on Monday.
Outward processing trade involves the shipment of raw materials to mainland
China for manufacturing. Finished products are then shipped back to Hong Kong
for re-export.
