Hong Kong protests: Driver ‘injures one’ after ploughing through crowd of demonstrators

One person has reportedly been injured after a car ramming through barricades set up by pro-democracy protesters in Hong Kong.

Demonstrators had been attempting to block a road in the semi-autonomous Chinese region’s Yuen Long area on Monday morning, as part of general strike action when the incident took place.

Footage later shared on social media shows protesters surrounding the car, as the drivers attempts to push through a series of concrete barriers set up across the road.
