Horse Racing: Monday's market movers

TURBAN (2.30, Plumpton) is potentially very well handicapped if rediscovering some of his old spark and punters think that today could be his day given the move for Paul Henderson’s 10yo. Turban was a 5-1 chance in places overnight but his price has crashed across the board and he is now no bigger than 2-1 to win the staying handicap chase under Paddy Brennan.

GREY MONK (3.10, Market Rasen) was a 14-1 chance on the opening show for the 2m7f handicap hurdle but the course and distance winner has halved in price as punters latch onto the fact that the Sara Ender-trained 9yo will be well suited by drying ground at the Lincolnshire track.

PADDY’S POEM (5.00, Plumpton) couldn’t land a blow in a warm bumper at Kempton on debut but morning support suggests connections think he’s set for a more prominent showing in what looks a weaker contest this afternoon. The Nick Gifford-trained 6yo is a now best odds 4-1 having opening up two points bigger.
