How you can help flood victims in your community

There's so much happening on the web and you don't know where to start.

Yahoo! Philippines is putting together this list of agencies, organizations and their contact information to help you find your way through various initiatives to help victims of this week's recent flooding.

These information are collected from various sources on the web and social networks.

If you want to be added in this list, please email us at ypheditors@yahoo-inc.com. Provide us the name of your organization, your contact information, website or social network, and point of contact. Also, let us know what you need. We will do our best to have these information out quickly. Also, our editors will need to verify information that we get.

School, University initiatives
De La Salle University has designated campuses as drop-off centers for donations for calamity victims. La Salle Greenhills, De La Salle Zobel in Muntinlupa City, De La Salle University and De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde in Manila, and De La Salle Araneta University in Malabon are accepting donations and volunteers.

De La Salle University-Science and Technology Complex in Laguna, and De La Salle Health Sciences Institute in Cavite are also drop-off points as are University of St. La Salle in Bacolod, La Salle University in Misamis Occidental, La Salle Academy in Lanao del Norte, and De La Salle John Bosco College in Surigao del Sur.

Ateneo de Manila Dream Team
Donations should be brought to Cervini Hall at its Loyola Heights, Quezon City campus. To save time on sorting, the Dream Team has suggested sorting donated clothes by age and gender, (Adult Female, Adult Male, Female Teens, Male Teens, Kids sizes Male and Female, as well as toddlers). The Ateneo Law School in Makati is also accepting donations. Donations can be dropped off at the Loyola Schools Covered Courts.

The Ateneo Graduate School of Business also has relief operations at the Rockwell campus. For inquiries: Christian Manuel (0915-590-2879), Martha Sapalo (0917-570-6604) and Jenn Tarrobago (0917-895-8090).

The Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health Satellite Ops continue are also currently ongoing. Drop-off point is Don Eugenio Lopez, Sr. Medical Complex in Ortigas Center, Pasig

Those who want to help are advised to donate the following:
1. Ready-to-eat food, canned goods, biscuits, noodles
2. Bottled water
3. Usable clothes. For children: tops and bottoms both girls and boys, adult's bottoms and tops
4. Rice,
5. Noodles
6. Blankets
7. Mats
8. Reusable bags
9. Toiletries: Laundry soap, bath soap, alcohol, sanitary napkins
10. Medicines: Decongestants, paracetamol, betadine, oral rehydration salts, mosquito repellants, antiseptics, 70% alcohol, betadine

Colegio de San Juan de Letran in Manila a helpline (9225155), for those who want to volunteer. The school is also accepting donations of ready-to-eat goods.

Immaculate Conception Academy on Grant St. in San Juan is also accepting donations of food, clothes, first aid, medicine, candles, and flashlights.

Miriam College and Saint Pedro Poveda College (Social Action Office: 6318756) are also accepting donations.

The University of Asia and the Pacific on Pearl Drive in Pasig accepts donations of ready-to-eat food and bottled water as well as boxes for packing.

The University of the Philippines is also looking for 50-100 volunteers at the UP College of Human Kinetics Gymnasium. They need volunteers for packing and deployment. Volunteers may contact Karina Casing at 09177066628.

UP Diliman's #IskoOperation:
- Will be starting its rescue operations at 1 P.M. August 9. Tweet/text affected areas and contact person to @HEARTdino or 09179329101.
- Accepts cash donations via University of the Philippines Diliman University Student Council PNB account no. 393989700021. Inform Reevee amount deposited 09178741397.
- Accepting donations 24 hours at the UP College of Human Kinetics (CHK) New Gym.

Enderun Colleges in Taguig is also a drop-off point for donations. Those who want to help may call 856-5000 extension 550. They are at 1100 Campus Avenue, McKinley Hill in Fort Bonifacio.

Lourdes School in Mandaluyong Donations needs mats, bottled water, biscuits, cup noodles, easy-to-open and ready-to-eat canned goods, slippers, blankets and clothes.

De La Salle Zobel is accepting donations. Drop off point is at Gate 7. Contact Jayjay at 09178597602.

Government
The Department of Education is also receiving donations at the DepEd Complex, Meralco Ave. Pasig City until August 17. Donations of food, blankets, school supplies, slippers, mats, clothes and water are welcome. For cash donations, Land Bank account name: OSEC Trust | Account No. 0672-1000-20.
