Hugh Jackman told fans that even Wolverine needs the COVID vaccine as he shared pictures of himself having the jab.

The actor, 52, posted two images on Instagram of himself getting vaccinated.

Referencing his X-Men character’s ability to mend from the most life threatening of wounds, he told fans: “Wolverine’s healing ability can’t save me from Covid.

“But the vaccine can.”

The post went down well with fans, who called the Australian star “a legend”.

“Awesome mate!!!! Well done. Thank you for being an inspiration!" said one follower on Instagram.

“The caption rocks!” said another.

“Woooo!!!! Thank you for using your platform to be a role model,” said another.

One fan said the person giving Jackman his jab must have had an “awesome” day “vaccinating the Wolverine”.
