Humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan affecting women: Israel Deputy Envoy in India

New Delhi, Aug 27 (ANI): The state of Israel expressed concern on humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan, particularly affecting women and girls, said Rony Yedidia Clein, Deputy Chief at the Embassy of Israel in India on August 27. “We're shocked and saddened by the terror attack that happened last night which killed dozens of people, both civilians and American military. It's horrible. We're very concerned about humanitarian crisis going on there. This crisis is particularly affecting women and girls. We see them as all of a sudden going from a position of strength to be at home under a burqa. They have not been allowed out all of a sudden. They're in a very vulnerable position all of a sudden,” said Israel Deputy Envoy to India. “We see this as very problematic for the progress of Afghan people and for women in general. We are very concerned about this,” she added.
