Hurricane Sally Leaves Downtown Pensacola Under Water

Downtown Pensacola was left submerged in water on September 16 after Hurricane Sally swept across the states of Florida and Alabama.

The NOAA’s National Ocean Service said that water levels at its tide stations along the Florida panhandle continued to rise after the hurricane’s landfall.

The Pensacola station, it added, experienced flood levels over five-and-a-half feet above normal high tide.
