IBM Connect2017 is bringing together over 150 startup founders, innovators, and venture capitalists to explore the the recent development in tech and how it affects the future of the startup scene in Singapore.

Self-driving cars, biometrics-based education software, and mind-controlled robotics. These are the kinds of innovation in cognitive technology that IBM wants to explore in the upcoming IBM Connect2017 to be held in Singapore this year.

The one-day event for select startups, investors, and innovators finds in Singapore an ideal venue to discuss the future of startups and cognitive technology in Asia, especially with the city state’s rank as the top 20 best startup ecosystem globally and the Singapore government’s push for a smart nation.

IBM Connect 2017 Startup Xchange will feature various activities and discussions that would focus on innovation in connective technologies such as blockchain, the Internet of Things, and API economy. Pop Up Labs on infusing Augmented Intelligence to businesses are also featured, as well as discussions with founders and venture capitalists in furthering the startup ecosystem with the use of cognitive data and analytics.

The Startup 2.0 panel will focus on the perspective of industry thought leaders Chua Kee Lock of Vertex Holdings and Neal Cross of DBS Bank regarding innovation in Singapore and where the startup ecosystem is leading. The panel will be moderated by IBM Ventures Managing Director George Ugras.

Participants of the Startup Xchange will also be treated to the Immersive Xperience Zones where cognitive computing and how it is redefining how individuals perform jobs and interact with others is put in the spotlight.
