Specialty and gourmet ice cream brands are on the rise, from Malai to Coolhaus to Jeni’s Splended Ice Cream. However, Nick’s is one you don’t want to miss.
Nick’s first launched its ice cream in Sweden in 2016, specializing in low-calorie, no added sugar and keto-friendly ice cream. But most recently, it soared to the top as a No. 1 new release on Amazon in the U.S.
In particular, two packs are trending. The best sellers variety pack contains salted caramel, peanut butter cup and cookies and cream. The bakery favorites pack has birthday cake, lemon bar and Swedish cookie dough. Each pack includes six pints for $74.95.

According to Nick’s about page, co-founder Niclas “Nick” Luthman was diagnosed as pre-diabetic in 2014. It fueled him to change his eating habits and lifestyle, and he started following a keto-style diet. But, he thought the diet was boring and he missed his old favorite snacks (like ice cream). So he created this keto-focused treat.
All of Nick’s ice creams contain sweeteners derived from plants, like raisins, monk fruit and dates (P.S. Nick’s also makes a few vegan flavors.) And each pint is around 220 calories with roughly 5 grams of net carbs. Most importantly though, the ice cream still tastes like ice cream.
